Manufacturing Checks

In Pantheon, you can perform checks on the actual manufacturing database files, a capability provided in no other design application in the industry. Manufacturing rule checks (MRCs) report and flag clearance, coverage, and power/trace violations. Pantheon's manufacturing verification contains a complete matrix of object clearance checks, as well as verification of annular rings, antipads, and soldermask coverage.

Pantheon also provides effective electrical verification of manufacturing data through electrical rule checks (ERCs). Pantheon creates an artwork node list, the equivalent of a design net list. The node list is compared against the design net list. Results indicate mismatched nets, shorts, opens, extra pins, and missing pins in the manufacturing data.

With Pantheon's MRC Lite dialog boxes, the setup of manufacturing rules is fast and easy. MRC functions are divided by clearance, coverage, drill, and power/trace. Each category is available through separate dialog boxes. Pantheon also offers an expanded set of checks for designs that require more complex or advanced MRCs. Advanced MRC definitions are available for object clearance, object grid, edge clearance, trace constraint, trace connection, drill constraint, plane constraint, object coverage, thermal clearance, and power isolation. |
