Intercept Database Features

回上一頁

For full design flexibility, Intercept's layout and schematic applications, Pantheon and Mozaix, use a single file to represent the layout and schematic databases, respectively. Pantheon uses a single file to represent the entire PCB / Hybrid / RF design database, while Mozaix uses a single file to represent the supporting schematic database. These are open databases in a compact, ASCII format, making Pantheon and Mozaix easily portable via laptop computer.

In Pantheon, the all-inclusive PDB (Pantheon Database) file contains geometries, technology rules, components, gates, pins, nets, wires, vias, artwork layer definitions, design rule checks and text. Since the PDB file contains all necessary design information, separate files for different design data are not required; however, the option to write specific sections of the database is available for design re-use purposes. Full CAD and CAM design databases may be written and archived in the Pantheon database (for design data) or in Artwork 2000 (for manufacturing data). This flexible file structure makes design archival and restoration simple because there are no external references to libraries required and all releases are upward compatible.

In Mozaix, the all-inclusive MDB (Mozaix Database) file contains symbols, parts, components, nets, pins and text. In addition, libraries can be linked to these symbols and parts, and geometry (layout) information can be hooked to the schematic and checked to ensure geometries are available in the library at the time of forward annotation to layout.?
